In 2025, as in 2011, the Festival reaffirms its commitment to artistic freedom, transforming Lamego into multiple stages where culture is expressed without constraints — no matter where, no matter the cost.
True to its belief in the transformative power of art, the Festival continues to embrace imagination as a central territory and diversity as a driving force. Inclusion, representativeness, equality, respect, and solidarity remain core values, directly reflected in a program that will occupy Lamego from July 31 to August 2.
This year's lineup spans various artistic languages, beginning with the graphic elements: posters, merchandise, and other visual materials are being developed based on works created by the users of Associação Portas Prá Vida, who are also participating in an artistic residency led by Bernardo Álvares and visual artist Oro Íris. This collaboration, which in 2023 gave rise to Tribo Improviso and, in 2024, to the film Os Focados da Vida Leve, will now culminate in an exhibition showcasing the most significant works created during the residency.
An unprecedented collaboration is also highlighted: renowned musician and producer Jerry The Cat — a resident of Portugal for nearly two decades, with a career spanning jazz, funk, blues, disco, rock, and electronic music — joins forces with the historic Banda Marcial de Cambres.
In the realm of performing arts, the Teatro Ribeiro Conceição will host an original creation curated by Lamego-based lighting designer Cárin Geada and choreographer Cristina Planas Leitão, in a piece where performance becomes an act of resistance, reflection, and affection.
The festival begins in Cambres, with a program featuring the ethereal pop of Evaya (performed in Portuguese Sign Language), the polyphonic punk of Amijas, and the presentation of the artistic residency between Jerry The Cat and Banda Marcial de Cambres.
The Bairro da Ponte returns as a stage for two days of communion by the river — swimsuits recommended — with music from Van Der, I’A’V (the new trio of Inês Malheiro, Violeta Azevedo, and Arianna Casellas), Paulo Vicente 4tet (with Joana Guerra, Luís Vicente, and Jerry The Cat), and Just Fish, a fusion of ambient, jazz, nature, and electronics.
The Rua da Olaria will be filled with the hardcore sounds of Ideal Victim, the sonic crossovers of Deambula, and the intense electronica of Spitbender. Finally, the Alameda will host the sharp hip-hop of Rafeiro (also in Portuguese Sign Language), the incisive words of Banda de Call Center, and the enigmatic afrofuturism of Fidju Kitxora.

Em 2025, como em 2011, o Festival reafirma o seu compromisso com a liberdade artística, convertendo Lamego em múltiplos palcos onde a cultura se manifesta sem espartilhos — seja onde for, custe o que custar.
Fiel à convicção no poder transformador da arte, o Festival continua a assumir a imaginação como território central e a diversidade como força propulsora. Inclusão, representatividade, igualdade, respeito e solidariedade mantêm-se como valores estruturantes da sua visão, refletindo-se diretamente numa programação que ocupará Lamego entre os dias 31 de julho e 2 de agosto.
O alinhamento deste ano estende-se por várias linguagens artísticas e inicia-se nos elementos gráficos: posters, merchandise e outros materiais visuais estão a ser desenvolvidos com base em obras criadas por utentes da Associação Portas Prá Vida, que participam também numa residência artística conduzida por Bernardo Álvares e pela artista plástica Oro Íris. Esta colaboração, que em 2023 deu origem à Tribo Improviso e, em 2024, ao filme Os Focados da Vida Leve, culminará agora numa exposição com os trabalhos mais relevantes produzidos durante o processo.
Destaca-se também uma colaboração inédita entre o conceituado músico e produtor Jerry The Cat — residente em Portugal há quase duas décadas e com uma carreira que atravessa o jazz, funk, blues, disco, rock e eletrónica — e a histórica Banda Marcial de Cambres.
No domínio das artes performativas, o Teatro Ribeiro Conceição recebe uma criação original com curadoria da designer de luz lamecense Cárin Geada e da coreógrafa Cristina Planas Leitão, numa peça onde a performance assume-se como gesto de resistência, reflexão e afeto.
O festival tem início em Cambres, com um programa que inclui a pop etérea de Evaya (com interpretação em Língua Gestual Portuguesa), o punk polifónico das Amijas, e a apresentação da residência artística entre Jerry The Cat e a Banda Marcial de Cambres.
O Bairro da Ponte volta a ser palco de dois dias de comunhão junto ao rio — recomenda-se fato de banho — ao som de Van Der, I’A’V (novo trio de Inês Malheiro, Violeta Azevedo e Arianna Casellas), Paulo Vicente 4tet (com Joana Guerra, Luís Vicente e Jerry The Cat) e Just Fish, numa fusão de ambient, jazz, natureza e eletrónica.
A Rua da Olaria será palco para o hardcore de Ideal Victim, os cruzamentos sonoros dos Deambula e a eletrónica intensa de Spitbender. Já a Alameda acolhe o hip-hop afiado de Rafeiro (também em Língua Gestual Portuguesa), o verbo incisivo da Banda de Call Center e o afrofuturismo enigmático de Fidju Kitxora.
A entrada para o ZigurFest e acesso a todas as actividades do festival são totalmente gratuitas. O festival tem o apoio do Município de Lamego.
