ZigurFest 2025 - 15 years of artistic freedom in Lamego
ZigurFest was born out of the passion and naivety of those who believe in the transformative power of art. As in 2011, the festival continues to transform the city into a stage open to artistic freedom - without limits or filters. With a vision of inclusive, representative and supportive culture, this year's programme will occupy Lamego from 31 July to 2 August.
The festival's visual identity will be created from works by users of the Portas Prá Vida Association, who are taking part in an artistic residency with Bernardo Álvares and Oro Íris, culminating in an exhibition.
Musical and performance highlights include:
An unprecedented collaboration between Jerry The Cat and the centenary Banda Marcial de Cambres.
A creation by Cárin Geada (light designer) and Cristina Planas Leitão (choreographer), at the Ribeiro Conceição Theatre, where the performance will also be an act of resistance.
The festival kicks off in Cambres, with concerts by Evaya (with interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language), Amijas and the presentation of the residency with Jerry The Cat.
In Bairro da Ponte, there will be afternoons by the river with Van Der, I'A'V, Paulo Vicente 4tet and Just Fish. Rua da Olaria will host Ideal Victim, Deambula and Spitbender. In Alameda, Rafeiro (also with interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language), Banda de Call Centre and Fidju Kitxora will take to the stage.
Other activities include:
A music creation workshop with the Furor Iminente collective, open to everyone, even those with no experience.
The return of ZIGUR.FM, an intergenerational and experimental radio space, with registration for programmes opening soon.
The traditional ‘ZigurFest canteen’, which this year will be led by Bea Bandeirinha and badsá (bcc/Funcho), with creations inspired by local gastronomy.
The graphic materials for this edition have been designed by Rui Pedro Martins, based on work developed by the Portas Prá Vida Association.

ZigurFest 2025 – 15 anos de liberdade artística em Lamego
O ZigurFest nasceu da paixão e da ingenuidade de quem acredita no poder transformador da arte. Como em 2011, o festival continua a transformar a cidade num palco aberto à liberdade artística — sem limites e sem filtros. Com uma visão de cultura inclusiva, representativa e solidária, a programação deste ano ocupará Lamego de 31 de Julho a 2 de Agosto.
A identidade visual do festival será criada a partir de obras de utentes da Associação Portas Prá Vida, que participam numa residência artística com Bernardo Álvares e Oro Íris, culminando numa exposição.
Entre os destaques musicais e performativos estão:
Uma colaboração inédita entre Jerry The Cat e a centenária Banda Marcial de Cambres.
Uma criação de Cárin Geada (designer de luz) e Cristina Planas Leitão (coreógrafa), no Teatro Ribeiro Conceição, onde a performance será também um ato de resistência.
O festival arranca em Cambres, com concertos de Evaya (com interpretação em Língua Gestual Portuguesa), Amijas e a apresentação da residência com Jerry The Cat.
No Bairro da Ponte, haverá tardes à beira-rio com Van Der, I’A’V, Paulo Vicente 4tet e Just Fish. A Rua da Olaria será palco para Ideal Victim, Deambula e Spitbender. Na Alameda, subirá ao palco Rafeiro (também com interpretação em Língua Gestual Portuguesa), Banda de Call Center e Fidju Kitxora.
Outras actividades incluem:
Workshop de criação musical com o coletivo Furor Iminente, aberto a todos, mesmo sem experiência.
O regresso da ZIGUR.FM, um espaço intergeracional e experimental de rádio, com inscrições para programas a serem abertas em breve.
A tradicional “cantina do ZigurFest”, que este ano será liderada por Bea Bandeirinha e badsá (bcc/Funcho), com criações inspiradas na gastronomia local.
Os materiais gráficos desta edição foram assinados por Rui Pedro Martins, com base em trabalhos desenvolvidos pela Associação Portas Prá Vida.
A entrada é livre e gratuita, com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Lamego.
