What remains of time when authenticity is lacking, or when there is no understanding that life is about more than the individual?
This album essentially represents what the artist was producing before making a sharp turn away from electronic club music. At the time, he felt numb towards that kind of music and even somewhat resentful of it — something made even more difficult by the fact that, professionally, it was working in his favour, allowing him to secure more bookings and live performances. Nevertheless, he was going through a period of deep disillusionment and unhappiness.
Today, when revisiting these tracks, the experience feels very different. The artist is now able to appreciate the textures, the beats and the bass in a new way. There is a clear sense of closure regarding that phase of his life.
This is precisely why the album is only being released now, after having remained stored away in Dropbox for almost four years. Over the coming months, other pieces that remained from that same creative period will also be released. And perhaps a few new tracks may emerge as well.

O que resta do tempo quando falta autenticidade ou a compreensão de que há mais na vida do que o próprio indivíduo?
Este álbum representa, em essência, aquilo que o artista produzia antes de fazer uma viragem brusca e se afastar da música eletrónica de clube. Na altura, encontrava-se entorpecido em relação a esse tipo de música e até ressentido com ela — algo que se tornava ainda mais difícil pelo facto de, profissionalmente, essa música lhe estar a trazer resultados, permitindo-lhe conseguir mais atuações e convites para concertos. Ainda assim, atravessava um período de profundo desencanto e infelicidade.
Hoje, ao revisitar estas faixas, a experiência é bastante diferente. O artista consegue agora apreciar as texturas, os ritmos e o baixo de outra forma. Existe um sentimento claro de encerramento relativamente a essa fase da sua vida.
É precisamente por isso que o álbum está a ser lançado apenas agora, depois de quase quatro anos guardado no Dropbox. Ao longo dos próximos meses, serão também divulgadas outras peças que permaneceram dessa mesma fase criativa. E, possivelmente, poderão surgir até algumas faixas novas.
