Nørus is the solo project of Brazilian Felipe Bortoloti, a music producer, sound engineer and record producer based in Porto, Portugal. Over the last five years, Nørus has released records independently and also for labels such as Egothermia Records, Gestalt Records, Deviant Episode or Nerang Recordings.
Surrounding Sequences takes us on a journey through IDM, braindance, breakbeat and techno, inspired by iconic artists such as Aphex Twin, µ-Ziq and Autechre. There are three distinct processes that make use of polyrhythms and sophisticated structures, three original tracks to which is added a fourth in which his compatriot Vitor Munhoz remixes the EP's first track, "Brainsuckers".

Durante os últimos cinco anos, Nørus tem lançado discos de forma independente e também para editoras como Egothermia Records, Gestalt Records, Deviant Episode ou Nerang Recordings.
Surrounding Sequences leva-nos numa viagem através dos géneros IDM, braindance, breakbeat e techno, inspirado por artistas icónicos como Aphex Twin, µ-Ziq e Autechre. São três processos distintos que recorrem a polirritmias e estruturas sofisticadas, três faixas originais às quais se junta uma quarta em que o seu compatriota Vitor Munhoz remistura a primeira faixa do EP, “Brainsuckers”.
