Slinger of blurry punkesk discs, chief conductor at Lisbon label and party stamp Comandante and long-time radio host pushing sharp and shameful eclectics for tingling late-nite sensations 🌑

Taking inspiration from the industrial warehouse scenography of late 80s Northern England to the esoteric all-niters in pre-clubland Ibiza, via Chicago, London and Rimini, Sibson’s freewheeling approach to the dance is strongly inspired by the history of dance music culture.

Starting his first clubnight at just 17 years of age, Sibson’s 10 years of experience behind the booth has brought him to clubs, bars, radios and festivals across the UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Netherlands.

In the club, expect all the hallmarks of a DJ unphased by borders and genre; the sharper side of leftfield house, acid, techno and disco scatter into post-punk, tribal and dub electronics.

Now based in Portugal, Sibson runs the itinerant, immersive Comandante imprint, a no-nonsense, heads down event series and record label that launched in an undisclosed Lisbon warehouse in November 2023. He also has a monthly residency on Radio Alhara, where he invites guests operating in Portugal to share their sounds on the world-renowned Alhara airwaves.
