"O Tresor original era, em muitos aspectos, o clube de Berlim por excelência: localizado num “cofre” não renovado sob uma loja de departamentos bombardeada, abriu as suas portas em plena confusão geral e do êxtase que se espalhou por toda a cidade quando o muro caiu. Os tectos baixos, a decoração industrial e a atmosfera geralmente desequilibrada criaram uma plataforma sem precedentes não só para o techno em Berlim, mas também para a cena que tomou forma do outro lado do Atlântico em Detroit. Rapidamente tornou-se na segunda casa para artistas como Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills e Blake Baxter, além de inúmeros DJs alemães. Dirigido por Tilmann Künzel, o documentário SubBerlin traça a história do clube desde o início no início dos anos 90 até ao encerramento da sua localização original em 2005. Inclui entrevistas desde Juan Atkins a Sven Vath, bem como com as pessoas que fizeram parte do clube, como o fundador Dimitri Hegemann…”

“The original Tresor was in many ways the quintessential Berlin club: located in an unrenovated "vault" beneath a bombed out department store, it opened its doors in the midst of the general confusion and ecstasy that swept across the city when the wall fell. The low ceilings, industrial decor and generally unhinged atmosphere created an unprecedented platform not only for techno in Berlin, but also for the scene that took shape across the Atlantic in Detroit. It quickly became the second home for artists such as Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills and Blake Baxter, as well as countless German DJs. Directed by Tilmann Künzel, the documentary SubBerlin traces the history of the club from its beginning in the early '90s to the closure of its original location in 2005.
