Twenty years on, it feels right to look back and remember where it all began. There was a time when believing in electronic music was far from an obvious choice, and when everything started because someone was willing to take a chance.
Much has changed since then. The journey has taken the Festival from an unlikely beginning to the strong identity it holds today. Techno has grown, reached new audiences and found its place in a wide range of settings, yet its raver spirit remains unchanged.
Over the years, a distinctive identity has been built, shaped by artists who have left their mark across different editions and become part of the Festival's history. This year, many of those names return to celebrate that shared journey.
There is also a clear intention to reconnect with those origins, maintaining a programme that neither follows trends nor takes the easy route, but is instead defined by carefully considered choices and meticulous curation.
For this edition, and this edition only, NEOPOP once again becomes ANTIPOP, from 5 to 8 August.

Duas décadas depois, faz sentido olhar para trás e recordar onde tudo começou. Houve um tempo em que apostar na música eletrónica não era uma escolha evidente e em que tudo nasceu da vontade de arriscar.
Desde então, muito mudou. O percurso fez-se da improbabilidade até à afirmação de uma identidade sólida. O techno cresceu, conquistou novos públicos e passou a ocupar diferentes espaços e contextos, sem nunca perder a essência raver que continua a definir o Festival.
Ao longo destes anos, foi construída uma identidade própria, marcada por artistas que deixaram a sua marca em diferentes edições e que fazem hoje parte da história do Festival. Nesta edição, muitos desses nomes regressam para celebrar esse percurso.
Mantém-se também a vontade de voltar às origens, preservando uma programação que não segue tendências nem procura soluções fáceis, mas que resulta de escolhas criteriosas e pensadas ao detalhe.
Nesta edição, e apenas nesta, o NEOPOP volta a assumir a designação ANTIPOP, entre os dias 5 e 8 de agosto.
