Static Skies and Silent Signals is a fragmented transmission from a collapsed future, where synthetic emotion and fractured memory blend into sound. Across three compositions — “Neon Blood,” “Holographic Rain” and “We Synced Once” — Hugo Barão builds a psychoacoustic topography carved from ghost frequencies, errant pulses and the residue of connection.
Each piece drifts through realms of post-human ambience, rhythmic deconstruction and glitched sensuality. The textures are tactile but unstable — as if experienced through someone else’s neural feed — or what you might call unseen simstim.
This is not music to dance to — but to drift through. A corpus of affect, disjointed but deeply felt.

Static Skies and Silent Signals é uma transmissão fragmentada de um futuro em colapso, onde a emoção sintética e a memória fracturada se misturam no som. Ao longo de três composições - “Neon Blood”, “Holographic Rain” e “We Synced Once” - Hugo Barão constrói uma topografia psicoacústica esculpida a partir de frequências fantasma, pulsações errantes e resíduos de ligação.
Cada peça vagueia por reinos de ambiência pós-humana, desconstrução rítmica e sensualidade glitched. As texturas são tácteis mas instáveis - como se fossem experimentadas através da alimentação neural de outra pessoa - ou o que se poderia chamar de simstim invisível.
Esta não é uma música para dançar - mas para vaguear. Um corpo de afectos, desarticulado mas profundamente sentido.
